Areshole of the week: James Inhofe

A new category, a new repugunant turd on the El Bizarro radar. Watching SBS news last night I was flabbergasted (a word much underused these days) by the comments of one seriously big arsehole by the name of James Inhofe, a member of the US senate commitee investigating the torture of Iraqi prisoners.

So who is this dickhead? He's a US republican senator with a less than glorious career which has seen him wipe his arse on just about every noteworthy piece of environmental legislation ever to meekly wind it's way into the high temple of American commerce, the rubber stamp factory called the US senate.

So what has Inhofe done to become our innaugeral arsehole of the week? Is it opposing Everglades restoration? Or comparing the Environmental Protection Agency to the Gestapo? As noteworthy as they may be, these are all past glories for him. No, he wins the first set of Lowbagger Brown Wings for the following comments:

"I am also outraged that we have so many humanitarian do-gooders right now crawling all over these prisons looking for human rights violations while our troops, our heroes, are fighting and dying."

Fucking arsehole. Fucking gutless yellowbellied arsehole. The only cowards in Iraq are the redneck killers for hire called the US army. The humanitarian do-gooders he slags off are the tireless workers of the International Committee of the Red Cross, an organisation mandated by international law to go crawling around prisons looking for human rights violations. The ICRC, despite their reticence to speak out, have my eternal respect - they are the real heros, not the thousands of armed hooligans rampaging around Iraq wiping their arses on the Geneva Convention.
